We've done nothing today. Nothing. I just made a list of what we did today, but then I decided it was too pathetic and deleted it.
The dogs and I are enjoying our fleece blanket while Alex suffers under the non-fleece blanket. Not that there isn't room for him over here. But there's just not enough room for both of the laptops. Because yes, we have two laptops down here in the basement as we flip between bad TV and bad movies and basketball.
I talked to my parents tonight and told them about the "horrors" of Ohio living and my mom warned me TWICE not to eat too much while just sitting around. Apparently she thinks I'm fat again.
I just saw the Manning brothers on TV and yelled "PEYTON AND ELI!!!" like a little girl.
I kind of want to bake a cake but we don't have any frosting. And an orange dream cake without frosting sounds gross to me.
So maybe my mom is on to something with the "blizzard will ruin your diet" routine.
Alex just brought down a plate of "healthy" chicken nuggets. ("Healthy" because the bag proclaims that they are.) He said they suck. I'll let you know.

Blizzard!

Blizzard! BLIZZARD!!!!! Holy cow! I have never ever been in my blizzard before in my entire life. And if you had told me five years ago that I'd be in a blizzard in Ohio in March, I would thought you were lying. And mean. But here I am, snowed in with my husband, a sleeping dog, and a different dog with horrible gas. Horrible, excrutiating gas. And he REALLY likes to cuddle.
But it's cool. I got a half day off of work and watched at least 5 episodes of America's Next Top Model that were clogging up our Tivo. So, all in all, a successful day.

Hair

Aaaaaahhh! My face!!!!! It's HUUUUGE!!!
I dyed my hair again last week. I went darker this time around because I want to be a brunette and not a redhead. However, my hair disagrees. I can't seem to get rid of the reddish undertones at all. Must be that Irish within me. I took this picture last week and the color is already starting to fade. Which leads me to believe that I am meant to be a blonde. Not that I'm complaining.
Also? I am pretty sure I didn't fail my midterm tonight. That is excellent.
I almost threw up at the gym tonight. Trying to beat Alex in distance on the ellipticals. We really need to get real lives.

No Time! No Time!
Ack! Ack! Ack!!!!!!!!!
I am so freaking out about studying right now. Alex had to REMIND ME to post. REMIND ME. Which is so sad because tonight was our very first endeavor into working out together. It was a rousing success because Alex is male and felt the need to show off to his female. Grrr. Man. Meat. Good.
I also went to my moronic doctor today who told me I was fat after making me wait over half an hour to see him, only to stay in the office with him for less than five minutes in which nothing useful was accomplished. Thanks dude.
Aaaaaand I'm out. No time for ANTM or AI tonight either! Stress! Stress! Stress!

Did you know that
Fiona Apple is the best Angry Music around? Because she really, really is. And I feel rather angry as I study while my stupid car forces Alex to spend hours outside in the rain trying to fix it. But he is determined and he is awesome and these are just a few of the reasons why I love him. Because if I were him, I'd be a blackened, sniveling mess right about now.
I still hate studying.

Sad, Sad Songs
I really, really, really like break up songs. I have no idea why, but seriously, I can.not.stop.listening. Alex thinks I am a total freak show because he occasionally finds me zoned out in front of the computer playing Spider Solitaire with iTunes blaring. And what am I always listening to? Depressing music. Sad, sick songs about the breaking of the heart and the crying of the tears and the woe is me, blah de dah. I was just looking at my most played on iTunes and just about all of them are either sassy "I'm be the best" girlie tunes or "I'm going to die because you left me" songs. But mostly, they're just "My life is over" kind of songs. I am attributing this to the fact that my life rules and that I need to balance it out with a little depressing, hear broken whining. I hope that's it. Because if not, then I am just one sad little individual.
P.S. I'm posting on a Sunday night! I have two mid-terms this week! Shocking! I
know!
UPDATE: Alex informed I should list some of my Favorite Sad Songs, since it goes along with the NaBloPoMo theme and because I am a procrastinating freak. Okay, he didn't say that last part, but it's true! So, in no particular order, here are just a few 10 sad songs (based mainly on my play count in iTunes.)
1. "Maybe" by Kelly Clarkson
2. "Apologize" by One Republic feat. Timbaland (That one was painful to type. What am I? 12?)
3. "Sober" by Kelly Clarkson
4. "Early Winter" by Gwen Stefani
5. "All Cried Out" by Allure feat. 112 (Ok, so this one is just a huge, overly-dramatic mess that I sing with the same conviction that I used to sing "My Heart Will Go On," because it's like a train wreck you can't stop looking at...yet SO GOOD.)
6. "Am I the Only One (Who's Ever Felt this Way)" by the Dixie Chicks. (Truthfully, I'm surprised there are this low on the list. Probably because I've been on K.Cla kick as of late.)
7. "Don't Turn Around" by Ace of Base. (This doesn't count but I couldn't believe it was on the list.)
8. "Everytime" by Britney Spears (I miss you Justin!)
9. "Cold Day in July" by Dixie Chicks
10. "It's Getting Better all the Time" by Brooks & Dunn
This list is in no way definitive, but I haven't got all night, though I have to mention "Without You" by the Dixie Chicks, "Don't Speak" by Gwen Stefani, "The Long Ride Home" by Patty Griffith, and "Hurt" by Johnny Cash.
So there you go! I have the worst taste in music EVER! And I just publicly admitted to the world! Don't judge!
